Professional Background
Kalisha Beard earned a Bachelor’s in Psychology and Social Behavior from UC Irvine and a Master’s in Social Work from USC. After graduating, she worked at Pacific Clinics, supporting at-risk youth and older adults with chronic mental health challenges. She later joined the Department of Mental Health, providing administrative supervision and therapy in the Child and Adolescent Outpatient Program.
Passionate about the intersection of faith and mental health, Kalisha became an ordained minister, speaking at churches across Los Angeles County. She further advanced her expertise by earning a Doctorate in Social Work from USC. Kalisha is dedicated to fostering hope and faith in children, adults, and families coping with trauma and life changes.
